Homemade Playdough!
It is SO easy to make and SO much better than the stuff you buy at the store
This recipe makes the softest, sqUISHiest, longest lasting play dough…EVER!1 cup flour 1 cup water 1/4 cup salt 2 tsp. cream of tartar 1 Tbls. vegetable oil food coloring (I used 4 drops) Just dump all the ingredients into your pot and give them a good stir. Enlist some small help if possible – they will think you are magic. Put your pot on the stove and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it forms into a ball. As soon as it joins into one big glob, take it off the heat and dump it onto your counter or some wax paper. Wait for it to cool, then knead it a few times until it is nice and soft. This is where you have to use a little self control to let the kids have a turn too.:)

Christmas cards made by Shutterfly....
I heard about this promotion from Shutterfly and just could not pass up the opportunity for FREE beautiful Christmas cards! For me, one of the joys of the holiday is sending out Christmas cards to family and friends. Every year, I try to make our holiday greeting cards fun and different. I love photo card greeting cards where I can showcase my favorite family photos of the year -- personalized touch at its best!
I love that Shutterfly gives you the option to have the cards printed on premium card stock verses photo paper. They have over 800 styles to choose from. It's going to be really hard for me to choose my favorite one as I am not sure if I just want one family photo or one where I can have more than one picture with the all three boys personalities highlighted.
And probably my favorite Shutterfly gift is the photo book! I created a Christmas photo book as well as a baby book for Owen. We are considering hosting a New Year's Eve event and of course Owen's 2nd birthday is quickly approaching.....so I should order some invitations also ;)

My favorite card this year...and the one I think I will use.

On my Christmas wish list
I love photos, but lately I have been thinking that I want a really big ...maybe not really big, but a big perhaps 10x14 or 16x20 canvas print of a good family photo.
So perhaps I may order one soon.
