Jacob

Jacob is full of energy.
He is so lovable and genuinely concerned about everyone.
Its amazing how over the past 6 months or so we have seen him grow up.

He melts my heart. Everyday he wakes and tells Mommy...I love you.

our handsome boy.

Homemade Playdough!

It is SO easy to make and SO much better than the stuff you buy at the store

This recipe makes the softest, sqUISHiest, longest lasting play dough…EVER!

1 cup flour

1 cup water

1/4 cup salt

2 tsp. cream of tartar

1 Tbls. vegetable oil

food coloring (I used 4 drops)

Just dump all the ingredients into your pot and give them a good stir. Enlist some small help if possible – they will think you are magic.

Put your pot on the stove and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it forms into a ball.

As soon as it joins into one big glob, take it off the heat and dump it onto your counter or some wax paper. Wait for it to cool, then knead it a few times until it is nice and soft. This is where you have to use a little self control to let the kids have a turn too.:)

Christmas cards made by Shutterfly....

I heard about this promotion from Shutterfly and just could not pass up the opportunity for FREE beautiful Christmas cards! For me, one of the joys of the holiday is sending out Christmas cards to family and friends. Every year, I try to make our holiday greeting cards fun and different. I love photo card greeting cards where I can showcase my favorite family photos of the year -- personalized touch at its best!

I love that
Shutterfly gives you the option to have the cards printed on premium card stock verses photo paper.
They have over 800 styles to choose from. It's going to be really hard for me to choose my favorite one as I am not sure if I just want one family photo or one where I can have more than one picture with the all three boys personalities highlighted.

My favorite card this year...and the one I think I will use.

And probably my favorite Shutterfly gift is the photo book! I created a Christmas photo book as well as a baby book for Owen. We are considering hosting a New Year's Eve event and of course Owen's 2nd birthday is quickly approaching.....so I should order some invitations also ;)

Brothers

6 months old

Carter turned 6 months old on the 2nd.
He is rolling around every where and inch worming crawling as we call it.
He is already taking toys from his brothers which tends to start fights.

We are looking forward to Christmas and celebrating the holiday being closer to family.

Our 3 little presents

Jacob

On my Christmas wish list

I love photos, but lately I have been thinking that I want a really big ...maybe not really big, but a big perhaps 10x14 or 16x20 canvas print of a good family photo.

So perhaps I may order one soon.

Santa sent a video message for Owen

The boys were excited to see a video message for each one of them from Santa Claus. Typically Santa sends a letter to the boys as the holidays approach but this year Santa was more modern and sent the boys a personal video.

Too fast

Look at our big guy already.
Carter is almost 6 months and filling out 6-12 month clothes very well.
Our baby isn't really staying a tiny baby long.

*thanks Aunt Amanda for the cute outfit

Daddy trick or treating with his boys

Owen's First Trick or Treat

Tonight was Owen's first Trick or Treating experience. Last year it was cold, rainy and mix snowing in Iowa so we didn't go.
Owen towards the end of the night was a little pro, and would occasionally say "Trick or Treat" and rarely left without saying
"shanks" After losing his hat a few times Owen refused let go of his hat. As you can see in the picture is how he held on for almost all night.

CANDY makes little boys happy!

Jacob was very excited to go Trick or Treating tonight.

Jacob and Owen went dressed as Woody from Toy Story; however, with the cold Ohio weather the boys had to wear
coats over their little costumes.
They were the cutest little Woody's begging for candy.

This is a face before CANDY.

Carter's 1st Halloween

Tonight was Trick or Treat...Carter enjoyed just riding in the sling with Mommy; perhaps, because he stayed extra warm.

Can't believe he is almost 5 months old!

Masterpiece!

The finished product!

Pumpkin time...

Tonight the boys enjoyed carving a pumpkin with Daddy.
They laughed and giggled.
Roared and growled at the "gooey mess"
Its memories like this that I never want to forget.

Owen wanted Daddy to put the gooey mess in his pumpkin bucket

Growing up...
