Homemade Playdough!
It is SO easy to make and SO much better than the stuff you buy at the store
This recipe makes the softest, sqUISHiest, longest lasting play dough…EVER!1 cup flour 1 cup water 1/4 cup salt 2 tsp. cream of tartar 1 Tbls. vegetable oil food coloring (I used 4 drops) Just dump all the ingredients into your pot and give them a good stir. Enlist some small help if possible – they will think you are magic. Put your pot on the stove and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it forms into a ball. As soon as it joins into one big glob, take it off the heat and dump it onto your counter or some wax paper. Wait for it to cool, then knead it a few times until it is nice and soft. This is where you have to use a little self control to let the kids have a turn too.:)

Christmas cards made by Shutterfly....

I love that Shutterfly gives you the option to have the cards printed on premium card stock verses photo paper. They have over 800 styles to choose from. It's going to be really hard for me to choose my favorite one as I am not sure if I just want one family photo or one where I can have more than one picture with the all three boys personalities highlighted.
And probably my favorite Shutterfly gift is the photo book! I created a Christmas photo book as well as a baby book for Owen. We are considering hosting a New Year's Eve event and of course Owen's 2nd birthday is quickly approaching.....so I should order some invitations also ;)

Too fast
Look at our big guy already.
Carter is almost 6 months and filling out 6-12 month clothes very well.
Our baby isn't really staying a tiny baby long.
*thanks Aunt Amanda for the cute outfit

Owen's First Trick or Treat

Tonight was Owen's first Trick or Treating experience. Last year it was cold, rainy and mix snowing in Iowa so we didn't go.
Owen towards the end of the night was a little pro, and would occasionally say "Trick or Treat" and rarely left without saying
"shanks" After losing his hat a few times Owen refused let go of his hat. As you can see in the picture is how he held on for almost all night.
