My favorite thing to do in the summer is cookout!!! Not only do I not have a huge mess to clean up in the kitchen afterwards!!! lol But, it is a great way to get family together!!! I really have learned that I love to have people over to visit, expecially my new found friends!!! (My neighbor's Mr. and Mrs. Miller (amish)) I have not offered to cook for them, yet!!! Do to the fact I would have to cook for an army between us six, then they have eleven children plus them two!!!! They are sweet people though. Could not ask for better neighbors to visit with!!!! So my favorite thing to do in the summer is visit with friends and have cookouts!!!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing to do in the summer is to relax with my husband on our back deck in the evenings. The back 8 acres of our land is farmed. We often see deer there and sometimes we see turkey.
ReplyDeleteAt the buffalo farm that joins our property there are anywhere from 10to 30 buffalo out back. It's awesome to see God's creatures while enjoying the sunshine and soft breezes. Steve and I will talk about our day and pray together thanking God for his blessings and asking him to watch over our children who have grown up and moved on. We love our home and in the summer our back deck is our favorite place.
Hard to answer this question when I'm sitting in Seattle at the in-laws...no AC, record triple digit heat with super annoying humidity....lol I can't get comfortable for anything, and my feet and ankles are so swollen! But in the summer time, I usually try to keep cool! I love lounging by the pool, though harder with kiddos!! As a family, we like to visit family and have BBQs.
