Our First Garden!

Jacob LOVES tomatoes. We had told him that the tomatoes were not ready until they are red. As you can see in the picture, he is showing us they are!

While we were working on the garden Jacob thought he would mow the yard!
He pushed his bubble mower all over, even down the alley! (Don't worry Grammy & M0maw...rarely a car goes down it..as you can tell)

In the picture above you can also see Owen in the stroller supervising! We are putting up a swing for Owen (Thanks Pappy & Grammy). It will be right next to the garden, so he can swing, Jacob can play and "mow" and Mommy & Daddy can weed the garden!

This is our first attempt. We have planted 4 tomato plants, corn, green beans, lettuce, carrots, squash, pumpkins, cucumbers...and our neighbor gave us cantaloupe seeds last night along with a cherry tomato plant. So....Here's to Growing our own food! We do just want to thank our grandparents....Grandpa & Grandma Lilly & Grandpa & Grandma Shaw...for their advice and knowledge. Hopefully some day we will be able to pass it along to someone!!
