Owen is 3 months!

So our little guy is now three months old! We have to admit, it is going by WAY too fast.

It has been such a privilege to witness him grow, develop, learn (smile, eat, hold his head up), etc. Sure, all this may sound a tad cheesy, but we really love to watch him tackle all of the milestones!

Anyway, here's a small list of some of the cute/new things that Owen has been up to recently.

Heartfelt conversations. Well, more like heartmelt conversations!! Lately Owen has been much more vocal in a very intentional way. He looks at you, opens his little mouth, and makes the sweetest sing-song noises. It seems like he's learning how to exercise voice inflection. He'll also make noises in reaction to his Daddy, Mommy or big brother!

Owen also...
* smiles and laughs!
* recognizes faces
* visually tracks moving objects
* recognizes voices
* vocalizes: squeals and gurgles
* coos when you talk to him
* blows bubbles
* holds head steady
* lifts head and shoulders (for a short period) when lying on tummy
* can bring hands together: bats at his toys
* sucks his thumb!

Owen likes to watch his big brother during the day…and for the most part seems unaffected by his squeezes (”I want to hug Owie!“) and pinches (”I want to hold Owie!”) and squeals

We have a feeling that the two are going to be the best of friends.

Owen LOVES to be outside, he loves going for a walk and watching his brother play at the park.

  1. We felt like our time with Gilly went by so much quicker than with Anika.. and now with Izzy, it's flying by :( kind of bittersweet! But he is a cutie and you guys seem like you've got a great family dynamic going on!

  2. I love that you guys keep updates on the kiddos! I'm not quite as organized!! I just wish I could see you guys soon...get the kids together and see how they do, now! I'll bet Owen is just as big as Madi...she still seems so small to me, but she's almost 6 months old!!!! Too true that time flies. I'm a little freaked out that when we have #3 so close to Madison, that time with her will seem too short! :-( So I am working now to try to make sure that doesn't happen!
