Happy Birthday Jacob!
We just can't believe that we brought him home two years ago. Swear it seems like it was just yesterday. In the past two years we have watched him grow from the little 8 pound baby to a full of energy young boy.
Where has the time gone!
Let us share the what he has taught us in the past 2 years!
Daddy: Kids love music, which is of course great for me, because it fills our house constantly, Jacob sings everything, from Sesame Street, to the Bob Brown car sales commercial and the Menards ad, and of course, he bobs his head and pretends to play drums when bands are in the house. It's really neat to see the progress and development and how it happens. It's also interesting how our interests, hobbies, and everything like that have changed. It's so funny how the us from 3 years ago would laugh at the us now, and the types of things that fill our recreation time. But the us of now know that it's so much better now. Our priorities have totally changed, and basically revolve around our kid(s), and we love it. We don't go to movies, or really most things that 20 somethings without kids would do, we're looking for the boring "adults" class and looking for other parents and kids at church instead of the Youth Group anymore, and if we want a "special" night out, we're more likely to find a Chuck E Cheese than a steakhouse. Life's funny. We're enjoying all of it.
Mommy: Being blessed to stay home with Jacob and watch him grow from this tiny baby that depended on us for everything into the independent little boy he is becoming is such a blessing! Its so amazing to watch him learn new things like drinking from a sippy to a big boy cup and watching his reaction after he successful drinks without spilling and yells "I Did It" Our priorities have changed, and I really feel that we have found a new kind of "LOVE" A love much deeper, and more passionate about life.
