Christmas with family

Christmas means time with family.
As you can see Owen is already enjoying his gift from Santa.

Owen sitting with cousin Kloe.  Owen and Kloe are almost exactly a year apart! I love seeing them together playing and giggling.  Here they are anxiously awaiting their turn to open some presents.
Carter and Owen chilling as everyone opens their presents.

Family!
Crazy how fast we are all getting older!

Christmas Morning

Merry Christmas from our family to yours!

Christmas morning was a lot of fun this year. The boys were really into Santa coming and opening presents.  The night before we sat out our "magic key" since we don't have a chimney and we placed reindeer food and Santas cookies and milk out.  Owen was so tickled that the reindeer ate their food; however, since the reindeer dumped some of their food ...Owen told me that next year we must use a bigger bowl so they can get their big noses in it.

Santa brought Leapsters and games. Owen was really excited.

Jacob looking into his stocking

After opening his stocking with some play-do in it, Carter just wanted to play with it.

Owen had one request for Christmas. He only wanted a BIG BIG fire truck.  He was so excited to open it.

Jacob's request this year was the HOT WHEELS tire storage for all of his cars. He was so excited to open it.  He was a little disappointed as he began to open presents because nothing under the tree was shaped like the tire. He thought that perhaps Santa or Mommy/Daddy forgot that was the one thing he wanted! But...Mommy and Daddy did not let him down!
Our house was taken over by "public saftey" cars.  Jacob wanted a police car, Owen wanted fire trucks and Carter got an EMT truck.  The boys have had so much fun playing "rescue".
Its crazy how fast a Christmas morning flies by.  Andrew and I cherish these memories of the boys squealing that they received just what they wanted and the morning smiles and giggles as they laugh that in their stockings had big boy undies.

Better late than never....

Better late than never to share some photos.  In preparing for Christmas morning we realized that we had no unloaded the camera in a LONG time...since Halloween!  Here are a few pictures of the boys trick or treating.

Fireman Owen

Oh these are funny! A lady walking by saw us trying to take photos of the boys and asked if we would like a family photo. She took about 15 and NOT a single picture had one of all of us. Moral of the story...if you want a family photo...you should bring a tripod.

Craft time

This holiday season the boys enjoyed making many crafts and baking lots of goodies.

Owen likes to take a break from drawing to draw on something else...HIMSELF!

Early Christmas with friends!

The boys had a Christmas party with their little friends.  It was the first presents of the season and they really were into unwrapping this year.  Carter loved his truck and Owen and Jacob LOVE their games from the Heiss family.

Breakfast with Santa

As you know we are big "CHICK FIL A fans"  The boys had the opportunity along with a few other kids to have breakfast with Santa.  Santa knew their names, which amazed Jacob. He also couldn't believe how much Carter has grown.  Jacob informed Santa of all he wanted as Owen was speechless.

Cell Phone Catch up!

I really need to empty my phone out more often.

Last week we had family game night.  The boys got to open an early Christmas present and enjoyed playing Toy Story Operation on Buzz!  They had a great time playing, and sorta got the concept.  They were more interested in trying to get the parts out without the beep!

Owen taking a turn.

Jacob under the tree that can't stay decorated.

The Tuesday before Thanksgiving we went to Chick Fil A for family night.
Since Tom has moved to West Virginia we go to the Chick Fil A closer to the house in Dublin.

The boys enjoyed making handprint turkeys

This is our Thankful Tree.
We started November 1st and went until Thanksgiving. Each day Jacob or Owen would give us things that they were thankful for.  On their list: Mommy, Daddy, Owen, Carter, Jacob, Poppaw Mike, Grandma Debbie, Grandpa George, Grandma Dorma, Uncle Carl and Aunt Amanda, Uncle Aaron and Aunt Kelly, Cousins, Monica, Steve and Vanessa,  Baby Davend (aka: David Mabrey), TV, Cartoons, Lighting McQueen, Carly and Micah, the Pendletons, friends, Utah friends, church, food, house, car, toys, fire trucks and police man.

I am really proud of the boys and their understanding of things to be thankful for.

On Dec. 1st we started decorating. The boys and I made glitter pine cones...now Dec. 8th I am STILL finding glitter.

I have more to post and will soon. That catches you up for now. We have a busy weekend ahead breakfast with Santa, church Christmas play and hoping to finish some shopping.
