Requesting Prayers

Tonight  I lay awake praying for a miracle for Andrew's Uncle Bill...who in the past ten years that I have known him,  has proven to be as great of  Uncle to me than I could ever imagine.  Uncle Bill, an honored and decorated veteran of the Vietnam War, has been in the hospital for nearly a week.    On Friday he was placed on life support and tonight continues to fight the illness in his lungs.

Here is an status from Aunt Monica's facebook page.

FAMILY is a beautiful thing! So thankful for mine. We can all feel the love, prayers and support coming our way. Bill loves you all so much and so do I - thank you for always being here for us.
He is on life support right now -fighting a lung infection of some kind. So far not responding to medications - still trying new things and hoping to find something that will start working. Please keep praying for a miracle for Bill - we are expecting one.

I remember meeting Uncle Bill for the first time; however, as memorable as that was what sticks in my mind right now more than anything is the tender moments over the past year that he has shared with my boys. Our boys love their "Uncle Beal" and they always have a hug or high five for him.   I'm very thankful for the memories and even more thankful for family-loving family.

Life gives us brief moments with another...but sometimes in those brief moment we get memories that last a life time...

Tonight I ask all of our readers to pray.....pray hard......and pray for a miracle for Uncle Bill.

Falling behind....

A few weeks ago I thought...I am going blog almost EVERY day, sharing just a glimpse of the memories we
create on a daily basis; however, in that time of making memories you get busy....as have I and as you can see
I am behind in blogging.   So please stay tuned for updates as our little guy turned 5,  we celebrated with family and friends at the zoo, then celebrating Grandma's birthday and spending time with family making memories.   Sometime this week; hopefully, Monday or Tuesday I will have some time to share the Moments in our life
that I never want us to forget.

Until then...I leave you with a funny conversation

Jacob: Mommy, do I have any hair growing under here?
(as he's pulling on his shirt so I can see his arm pit).

Mommy: No, why?

Jacob: cause I am wanting to be as hairy as Daddy.

Stuff my kids say...

Lately, Jacob has been cracking us up with the things he says and puts together.   The other night as we were preparing a fire to roast marshmallows and hot dogs  I made the statement "you are the best son "    To which he replied  "I know, that's why you had me first"

Its things like this that I NEVER want to forget.
Time is flying in a few short days he will be 5.

He requested no party this year, rather he would prefer to go to the store and pick the 5 toys
he wants since he's going to be 5.  We have a few surprises in store for our big guy!
Stay tune for pictures later this week!

Summer Fun 2011: Port Clinton Beach

We spent ALL of Sunday on the beach. It was so nice to relax and enjoy the beach.
Carter loves the water. He is our biggest water baby, with absolutely no fear.
He would crawl because crawling was faster to get to the water's edge.

Summer Fun 2011: African Safari Wildlife Park

A few months ago we purchased a Groupon to go to the African Safari Park.
It was a great deal, $5 for a ticket when the normal price is nearly $18.

The park is a drive thru park where you get to feed the animals.
It was possibly the most hilarious thing we have seen in a long time.
These animals had no boundaries.
They would stick their heads right in the window and get up and personal with you.
The animals LOVED the carrots.

The boys also enjoyed Pony Rides

Summer Fun 2011: Tall Timbers Campground

Our trip to Port Clinton included camping at Tall Timbers Resort.
Tall Timbers  was an excellent camp ground and we would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone going that way. It was affordable, lots of activities for family and super nice staff and clean facilities.
There was a pond, very clean much much cleaner than Lake Erie to swim in.
The boys enjoyed swimming  in it. We didn't realize how much they LOVE water.
They had water toys...play ground.
Unfortunately it rained for a bit and they cancelled the movie of the weekend which was Rio.

Daddy's little helpers.
Jacob is a little pro helping Daddy set up the tent.

We had a HEAVY downpour about 10 that night but our tent leaked only a tiny bit and it stood the high wind.

I can see a return visit to Tall Timbers.

Summer Fun 2011: Marblehead Lighthouse

This summer has been a fun one for us.  We have enjoyed family time visiting places around Ohio.
This past weekend we took a trip to Port Clinton.  I love light houses and its been nearly 7 years since we had been to Marble Head.  The boys were in awe of all the big water and all the boats.   Jacob even made a comment that "Poppaw would go crazy here because he's a big fan of boats"
