Weekend Recap in pictures

Another busy weekend for us as we are trying to enjoy the summer before that four letter word starts to fly around and blanket the ground! As you noticed I am refusing to say it until at the earliest Thanksgiving.   So, we hit the trails, splash park, camped and celebrated a friend's 5th birthday at Chuck E Cheese's.

The boys loved this little Stuart Little car ride at Chuck E Cheese's, even little Carter.
Who is NOT so little anymore.  Today his new word "o no uh oh" and he rarely crawls unless its
easier to crawl over something.

What I am loving Wednesday!

Well its been a while since I have done a "What I'm Lovin Wednesday"

Okay, I admit I am not really into tv series anymore; however, reality television like
American Idol, America's Got Talent, Sing Off, etc are more what will be on TV if I have control of the remote.  There is a new show, well its been on for a few weeks, but I haven't missed an episode because I am addicted to it. The nice thing is the hubby enjoys watching it with me. Its on later in the night, so we put the boys to bed and watch it together. Its nice to have something that we both watch, which I'm sure he watches it because I do!

Love Love Love Pandora.  ]
Around Christmas I started using Pandora.
I have playlist from kids stuff, christmas  playlist, praise and worship, work out playlist, and even a play list that is for when I clean.
Am I the one that LOVES listening to music while cleaning?

These little boys!
They keep my life extra busy, full of joy, kisses, messes, laughs, and love.

This hottie! My Hubby!
I can't believe that we are quickly approaching 8 years of marriage. This month we celebrated being together TEN years.
It doesn't seem possible. I am loving every minute of it.

Catch up...Cell Phone Edition

I can't believe that its been nearly a month since I have taken the time to update our family blog...OH WAIT....yes I can because we have been so incredibly busy this summer.

We have spent many weekends visiting family, celebrating holidays-birthdays, family reunion, bike trails, cook outs and just enjoying SUMMER!

A turtle was crossing the road in front of the house and fearing the boys would see it become "road kill" I put the turtle in a box not sure what to do with it.   After sending Andrew a text  with a picture of the turtle I quickly learned that the little rescued turtle was a snapping turtle.  So later that day we took, Snappy...yes the boys named it....to the Wetlands Park near our house.

Boys watching as Daddy lets our Snappy into the water.
This summer we have spent many weekends and even during the week out on the bike trails.  The boys enjoy going on rides.

This summer we purchased a zoo membership, so if we are not out on the trails
we are taking the boys to the zoo.  On this particular day we were in the "Outback Area"
and we noticed the big map on the building.  Our dear friends in Iowa, The Fife Family is from
New Zealand, so we had to take the picture to let them know that we miss them!

On Thursdays we often enjoy going to Chick Fil A for family night.
Jacob and Owen really enjoy the nights when the "air balloon guy" also
known as Mackee is there.  This particular night they were so thrilled as not only
was their buddy Mackee there but their favorites Bob and Larry from Veggie Tales were as well.

June flew by us! Carter turned one, we spent the weekend on the bike trails,
visiting family from out of town and then JULY arrived.
This year we were able to go to Red White and Boom.
The above picture is of the boys enjoying some more than normal sugar over-dose
as they watch the fireworks at Red White and Boom.

In July we also went to a Clippers baseball game. The boys loved it.
After the game Owen and Jacob got to run the bases. They LOVED it.

We also enjoyed our first Dublin parade. The boys were unsure what to really do, which didn't really matter
after they scored some candy.

Daddy with Jacob and Owen on 4th of July at the Dublin Celebration.  The boys enjoyed the fireworks this year, it was the first in four years we did not have anyone crying, covering their eyes and ears....even Carter loved them.

With the high temperatures lately the boys have enjoyed playing in their little pool.
The boys love it. Carter has NO fear of the water, he is probably our biggest water baby.

Owen and Carter enjoying the water.

This weather lately has reminded us of Arizona, minus the humidity though.
Sounds like the rest of July is going to be just as warm.

Pool Fun!

With only four more days left in July I am hoping that August I can keep up on our blog more.  August is another busy month for us.  Jacob turns five, where has the time gone for that one?!   We have a little family vacation getaway planned. I'm sure weekends of fun and outside enjoying the weather before it gets too cold.

Which do you feed?

An old Cherokee told his grandson about a fight going on inside himself. He said it is between 2 wolves. One is evil: Anger, envy, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, lies, superiority and ego. The other is good: Joy, peace, love, hope, humility, kindness, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith. The grandson asked his grandfather, "Which wolf wins?" The Cherokee simply replied, "The one I feed."
